***This is Grandma. You better contribute to this blog. This is Lots of Fun. Thanks to Karen and Sandy for all the hard work. Karen spent hours setting this up and Sandy was right there helping her. Thank you, both. You are the greatest! We love you all. We are proud of all our children. This is Sandy, I wish I could take credit for this but it was all Karen So Thank you Karen I love it too!!
***It's me again..........Returned from Sahuarita, Arizona last week where we had lots of fun (April 11-20) visiting with Jon & Christa. We loved seeing them and the children once again.
On Saturday we went to a ward picnic and met with some of their friends and the Bishop........boy is he young. The food was great and in abundance which made Joseph, Joel, and dad (and me ) very happy. Of course the fact that the entire ward showed up, and it is a large ward, was irrelevant. On Sunday we had the pleasure of witnessing Kaysha's Blessing. She looked so sweet dressed in her white gown. She is another unique addition to this family and we love her. Monday brought cement for the Pergola aka Ramada. On Tuesday we all went to the Tuscan Desert Museum. It is a beautiful place to see. The Saguaro Cactus only grow in the Sonora Desert which the museum is a part of. Wednesday brought Joel and Joseph flying home after which Jon went to work to take his final exam on a class. He passed with flying colors, an A, what else. A job well done, Jon! Thursday and Friday, Jon went to work for part of the day. When he was done on Thursday, we went to the Zoo. Xander loves visiting the zoo and knows his way around. Another thing Xander loves is water. Everyplace where there was water so was Xander. On Friday we went to the Pima County Fair. It is nearly as big as our State Fair. Dad really enjoyed this. Saturday was a trip to famous Tombstone. The Earps and Holliday versus the Clantons and McLaurys at the OK Corral. In "The Town to Tough to Die" there is a lot of history which has nothing to do with the OK. It is worth seeing. That evening was a wonderful end to a wonderful week. We went to a live play. "Arizona Smith and the Skull of Doom" was f u n n y. A spoof on Indiana Jones, we laughed and laughed while we downed a pizza. The lady who played the piano was phenomenal. I never saw fingers move so fast. It was super ! Thank You, Jon and Christa for the fun!
On Sunday, with a long sad goodbye, we headed home via the scenic route. The entire drive home was scenic but just outside of Flagstaff, through the town of Sonora ( I think), is a route that Jon & Christa told us about. It took us over an hour to go through it, but it was beautiful and well worth the drive. We had a wonderful, warm, sunny vacation. While you had a blizzard we had warm and sunny............I did mention......W A R M & S U N N Y ....... didn't I.
